Air Conditioning Recharge

Over 2/3 of vehicles are fitted with air conditioning as standard these days. Many of us are familiar with using air-con in our car on both hot and cold days, but not many people are aware that like other parts of your car, the air-conditioning system also needs regular attention to make sure it is working efficiently.

Our air conditioning recharge service brings your vehicles air conditioning back into manufacturers spec. Over time, an estimated 10% of gas permeates from the system every year. This means that as a minimum your air con system needs recharging with gas & lubricant every 2 years, otherwise the output of the system will drop dramatically.

Our trained mechanics will show you the difference in your Air-Con system before and after recharge. If your Air-Con system is not fully charged, it will be less effective at keeping you cool. Also it means the system has to work harder which puts more strain on your engine thus using more of your fuel.

Most vehicle owners only use there air-con to keep them cool in the warmer months of the year; however your system is also useful in those colder months too. The air-con system can create warm dry air opposed to normal humid air from outside your car, which will demist your windscreen quicker.

Our mechanics hold a current required F Gas Accreditation which is required to handle refrigerant gasses. More information can be found by clicking here. (FGas Web site) and details of our accreditation can be found on the certification page.
